I have a current gen MAC book PRO and an I-MAC 24", PreSonus Stdiolive 16.4.2. mixer, and Logic 9. Like so many other people I have spent a fortune on mediocre gear in the last 20 years (50g+) and would like to start over. The question is where to start. Mt background is classic rock and I have been a guitar/bass player for over 20 years.

Hey all,here's my problem Ive got a delta 1010lt pci sound card, {8 mono ins and 8 mono outs},I've got a dynamic mic plugged into XLR input 1 on the delta, an Logitech x240 speakers plugged into 1/2 output on the delta,my DAW is Magix Music Studio 10 Deluxe.well here's the problem i cant seem to figure out how to pan my vocals in my mixes left or right,if i pan right the vocals just sound lower

I've been home recording with Pro Tools 7 and a 002 board for a couple years now and I'm getting new stuff for my studio. I have most things picked out but there is something that is really confusing me...

i got a chance to buy a radial jdi for a good price and did some searches but they mostly relate to guitars and not bass. i would use it just for bass and I'm using a $50 rapco passive di for bass now.it does the job but I'm thinking i would notice a difference with the jensen transformer in the jdi. think i would?

Hello everyone. I've got a Tascam US-144 and a Studiologic midi controller. All I'm trying to accomplish right now is to get my Midi controller to play piano sounds so I can learn to play. So I'm not using any recording software right now. I used to have a P4, 1GB Ram, IDE HD, Win XP computer and was using CVPiano software that came with the Tascam.

Hey guys, I'm wondering if multiple saving of my mixes as a .wav file results in any quality reduction. I'm talking about minor changes like opening the file in an audio software (Adobe Audition 3), cutting the track's long start and then saving the changes.

I don't know whether this is the right forum to find the sort of answer I'm looking for, but here's the question anyway.

Hey I'm trying to put in some work as an intern at a big studio this summer..
But i don't really have any relevant work experience... I've been making music since i can remember but nothing to really put down.. only a couple security jobs, retail jobs, and community college lol..
But i really need this internship.

Has anyone used this combination? I recently purchased a Puretone and am loving it. I play in a jazz funk trio and many of the places I play in are quite small venues. I am not after full out drive but am thinking that the Hot Plate would allow me to get those tubes working a bit harder and get me to the clean but slightly breaking up tone that I am after.
