Hey everyone,
I am attempting to convert some old live recordings from cassette tape to digital format. I have recorded them into the computer, and now I am working on sweetening the audio quality as much as possible.
The issue isn't the tape hiss, its mainly just poor sound quality. The recording is very muddy, almost like a pillow was over the mic.

Dear Anyone.

I've got £200 budget. Not great but right now that's it.

What monitor speakers can I go for? Don't have to be new, if there's a RELIABLE used site on EBAY or somewhere, cool. I'm just looking for a pair of live amps to plug into my computer to mix with.

Any ideas?

I am relatively new to recording drums and I would be grateful if some of you could share your drum compression strategies.

In particular, I'd be interested to know if you use compression during tracking, and if yes on which mics and how you set up your compressors.

I have AT3035 with "brick" preamp. Record vocals only! So I'm wondering is it worth it to make a jump from AT3035 to AT4033? I mean will it have that much difference?

I am pretty new to recording, but I am making my way along. I have a motif 6 classic and Cubase 4 Le (came with my Audiobox). I recently got EzDrummer and I want to control it with my motif keyboard. I have the driver and it recognizes it, but I cant figure out how to set it up. It is plugged in via USB and I would really appreciate help on how to set it up.

I did some experimenting with the Fredman Technique today and I got this result... and now I want feedback! :D Good/bad/needs more cowbell, whatever you have to say, I want to hear it.
