5 watt amp into extension cab
Forums
Hello again,
I have a Fender Champion 600 5 watt tube amp. I like the low volume clean tones that this amp provides, however the 6" speaker sounds terrible when the volume is turned up and starts to overdrive the tubes. I think the best way to describe the sound is flabby and farty. I'm a big fan of crunchy.

Hello:
Which pc to use?
Forums
OK here it is.
Newbies just starting to try and record our jam sessions, tired of recording to cassette.
We just purchased some stuff for this adventure, so the cash flow is now gone. And buying a new pc is not an option. Tascam us1641, Cubase 4le, cad 7pc mic for me.

Tracking Down Mud
Forums
I just laid down a guitar jam track and I am not terribly happy with it. It's not horrible, but it's not perfect either. I find the lows to be a bit muddy, but not overpresent. What do you suggest my next step should be?

Windows Xp recording problem (waveform shrinks)
Forums
I'm using Windows Xp on my Acer aspire 5100 notebook. I'm using the cheapest genius mic for recording stuff. Whenever i hit record in any audio software the recording starts normally and then all of a sudden the waveform's amplitude in the program's display shrinks.

Roland VSR 880 - to buy or not to buy
Forums
Hello. We have a full analog studio but are getting eaten alive by the cost of reel tape (not to mention the long lead times to get the reels) and so want to convert to a digital recording set-up. We have the opportunity to purchase (at a very nice price) two Roland VSR 880 rack mount systems but quite frankly have no idea if this is the best way to go.

Running Speaker Cables Next To Extension Cords
Forums
I havent really had a particular problem with this, but I was told you arent supposed to run speaker, mic or instrument cables next to power cables and extension cords to avoid hiss. How true is this? Any more input on this simple subject?
Okay, i really messed up so i was wondering if you could help me out (equpment)
