Monitor Controller by Esi - the MoCo.

Today I recieved my MoCo, a monitor controller from the German manufacturer Esi. It is passive and can handle two stereo sources and two pairs of monitors.

It sounds very neutral, and is extremely quiet. It also has L/R swap functionality, mute and mono. Two things to consider: it has no status lights whatsoever and the housing is made of sturdy plastic.

PreSonus 1818VSL interface question

I recently picked up a PreSonus 1818VSL interface and while I'm able to record, everything sounds a little "cheap" for lack of a better word. I've been reading and finding that some folks are using a preamp before the interface. Is this common and do the PreSonus preamps suck? Thanks in advance for any information.

Upgrading from M-Audio 2626, plz help me identify a new interface

I have an old DAW system using Win7, Sonar Cakewalk 8.5 and a M-Audio 2626 (firewire).

I plan to retire my old hardware and move to a newer system with Win10, newest Cakewalk (while it still runs), also migrate to a new DAW over time (maybe Cubase). The new system will most likely NOT have Firewire, so I'll need a new audio interface.

CD Case

HI Guys, I've been recording some Christmas music on Saxoph0ne and wanted to make a CD for my family. The thing is, I don't really want to give the CD in a jewel case or sleeve. So is there a cheap way to really make a pro looking case. If I can't get it done by Christmas, (which I probably can't) I'm still interested in what some of you have done.
Thanks
-C
