Video editing for pc
Forums
well I'm currently enrolled in some sound/ film classes and at school we use logic / soundtrack / final cut. i am wondering if there is anything that compares to these programs that are for PC. my PC at home is a beast, and i really don't want to invest in a whole new system.

Recording at wrong bit sample rate
Forums
I've done quite a mindboggling thing today. I started recording a song with Sonar 7, and when I was done and satisfied, I exported the song to hear it on my stereo. But no matter what I did, it kept playing at half speed. After much confusion and troubleshooting, I noticed suddenly that I have recorded the song while my soundcard was set to 96 kHz!

Cheaper Solo Recording
Forums
I have been trying to record using a mic and a quarter inch to eigth inch converter. I am attempting to record a piano, guitar, drums, and vocals seperately to get a semi-decent demo. I have not been getting very good results. I am basically looking for a mic that i can use with my computer and without having to spend over 200 or purchase an interface.

Starting a record label around a recording studio
Forums
Hi there,
I am starting a recording studio with a business partner, and as I was searching the forums here for input, it seemed to me that the level of expertise and willingness to lend a hand is unusually high among members. So, I figured that I might be able to find a bit of specific advice from a few who have had some experience with this stuff.
Can you help make sure this is right?
Forums
So, I'm new at this. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of stuff there is to learn. Anyway, to my question. I want to get a home recording/producing setup as a hobby. I'd play guitar, bass, keys, and hopefully get fairly proficient with some beat software. The key here is that it's just a hobby.
