Gear Wanted!
Forums
Hi. I'm looking for a way to lease music equipment to set up synth/ethno music recording studio in SIBERIA.
Here are many fresh and bright ethno sounds, melody ideas, shamanic shows, beautiful nature,
hot girls and more, and it could be shared with the world. But even if I worked in local market only, and couldn't produce

Daisy-chaining Firepods >> Topaz 32-8 >> ?
Forums
So I got a Soundtracs Topaz 32-8 this summer. I'm daisy-chaining 2 Firepods together so I have 16 simultaneous channels in/out.
My plan is to be able to record up to 16 live tracks, and also mix into 16 'group' to the console.
So my question is how the **** do I finish after that?
I have a two track Otari 1/4" mastering recorder as well.

Phase Cancellation Question (for school)
Forums
Hey,
I'm taking an audio class and I'm on a homework question I can't seem to remember the answer (even though it seems to be a pretty easy question).
"If you cause phase cancellation at 1000hz, you experience cancellation at 2000hz, 4000hz, and 8000hz. What is this kind of phase cancellation called?"
Could anyone tell me what this is?

Advice needed on new DAW setup
Forums
Hi,
I currently have a dual xeon 3.2 Ghz w/ 2 Gig RAM running Sonar 8 PE with a MOTU 1224 and use a Mackie 1604VLZ for connecting XLRs and playback monitoring (to avoid CPU latency). I'm considering upgrading the MOTU 1224 to either the 2408mkiii or HD192.

Which Monitor speakers ?
Forums
hi folks, a little advice please.
I have a home studio basic set up, i use a 16 track Yamaha AW16 studio in a box, and up until now have been channeling sound through the home stereo Arcam amp and a pair of Mission speakers, with pleasing results. But moved into bigger house now so have to fund some new speakers for just recording purposes.
