Hi all, I'm using acronis true image and am wondering if programs such as this one and norton ghost, which use compression for their backups can be at all detrimental to the audio quality contained in the backups. thank you.

I used to write a lot of incidental music stings for spoken word recordings and then life took a turn and a few years down the road, I'm finding I really want to get back into it.

Can anyone offer the best advice for this type of music? I'm also keen to start songwriting. again, advice would be great.

Mac G3 800Mhz or
Mac G4 733 Mhz or higher
512 MB ram
Mac OSX 10.3.9/10.4.2
Mac 10.5 (Leopard) is not supported.

what is the 800Mhz? is it the Processor or Memory

Im looking to record 8 tracks at the same time and in the future 16 tracks via M audio octane.

For a while now I've been faced with a dilemma towards my hardware upgrade. Ever since I had a chance to work on an AMEK Rembrandt Analog console, I've been fighting to create a setup that resembles it. You know, pretty good headroom, mono summing, reasonable amount of busing, patching, etc etc. Problem is:

I wasn't sure where to put this, so here it is! I want to record an "interview" with my father. He was involved with the Hungarian Revolution, and I want would like to get a good recording of his experience.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good cloner/ doubler?

Hello, as a car nut, photographer, and 3d/2d visual effects artists, one thing that I've always wanted to do is be able to record decent quality audio of car engine sounds to sink with video. (or also to be used as audio to be mixed into other video)

This is probably old news to most of you, but I just want to mention it. I have had a Lynx L22 for 2 years now. And it works very well.

I bought it to simply take the digital output of the Crane Song Hedd192 into my box. I have used the 2 ADC on the card a few times, and quite frankly they are pretty decent, even compared to the Hedd192. So I am happy with the card.

I bought a play station 3 the other day because I thought it was a more cost effective method to acquire a blue ray player, plus you get a PC and a gamer all in one.
