anybody own this mic or know anything about it. did some research and i think it looks good. this will be my first ribbon mic, and i found a great deal for the mic at 650$. not looking to buy the mic for any one specific application, the more all around versatile the better.

Just dont say it maximizes the sound...lol

Anyway what is it? Is it limiter, compressor, expander?
Whan to use it?

Hello everyone, I have a little problem with the Sonar 6 LE maybe you could help.

So I sang into this MD 421, and it sounded real good. DMP3 preamp.

I wonder what you all would do to tweak this setup. I have an idea that the filter ring is comprised of capacitors that I'd be better off without. Does anyone know anything about stripping the signal path?

I recently recorded an album not paying much attention to the intricacies that go into getting good drum sounds. I simply used one overhead dynamic mic which ran directly into my computer, no interface. I then used several filters in Adobe Audition to liven up the sound. I wasn't going for a polished sound...

I purchased a Tascam DP-02fx/CD 8 track recorder yesterday, this is my first home recording purchase. I plugged my strat and headphones in and immediately had an annoying buzz constantly through both headphones, it's definitely not the guitar. Also when switching from mono to stereo I only get sound in the left headphone, i'm doubting that thats normal but I am a newbie at this.
