Hi,

I'm using an old Roland CR-78 drum machine. It has both Hi Imp. and Low Imp. outputs on the back (taking mono 1/4" jacks).

Is it safe to use both of these at the same time or will i kill the machine? It would enable me to have one clean channel (High Imp.) and another channel (Low Imp.) running through a chain of effects. Both going into my mixer.

Hi Guys, I'm relativly new to the world of audio recording (and this forum) and I'm trying to avoid as many expensive mistakes as possible haha. I have a pretty simple setup running Ableton Live thru my iMac. I have an old Tascam USB interface and I'm wonder what to replace it with.

Another Sunday night session with Carlos Crull on tenor sax and the regular group, minus Dennis on conga.

Hi, I connected my synth to my computer and wanted to use it's sound because they are better than the ones on my computer. I connected it via usb cable and was able to play the notes but when I wanted to use the sounds of the synth I played the notes and they didn't make a sound.

I burn a lot of audio files (mp3) to DVD and so far I have used Nero Version 6.3.1 and it records well enough. The only problem is that after it successfully burns and I eject the dvd, and try to play it again, the DVD never plays. it just keeps loading and loading and loading forever. I have tried playing the same DVD on 2 different systems and the same thing happens.

I'm using fireface 800 with Samplitude v9 on a vista home premium os laptop. I can't get channels 1 & 2 to route. Channel one (set to front and back) works with the instrument input but not the TRS. I'm guessing it's an easy fix but don't have a clue what to do. Any help is appreciated. Also a URL for a good OS optimization webpage would be cool. Thanks.

OK...so i wanted to somehow cheapley upgrade my monitoring situation. - i WAS using just some $70 Phillips computer speakers...i would also use an mp3 aux. in on a cheap boombox for monitoring also. hah.

Hello, I've recorded for the first time a band and it happens to be the jazz sextet my brother has. It was recorded in a bedroom with a NT2A (fig. 8 -5 dB pad) and a SM58 straight to my Ultralite and then to logic.
Flujo & NewOne have a direct piano line.
