I'm actually using a PreSonus Firepod in a studio...love it. But recently wish to setup a home-studio in my small bed room...Yes, what you paid is what you got! But,i'm sure there is something affortable audio interface and producing good sound for a home studio use...might need your recommendation.

Is there any standard way to pan harmonies.?

Do you have a method to get them to working in the mix?.

I don't have a lot of mics to go around and I'm looking to use what I have as much as possible.

One of my band-mates has two SM58's and I'm hoping they are usable for drum recordings.
Maybe hit-hat Micing ?

So far the mics I have for the drums session are; RODE NT4, Beta 57A x 2, Beta 52A, SM57 x 3, SM58 x 2.

I did a vid on a very nice recording technique for getting good separation between a vocalists vocals while playing the guitar.

I understand there is no such thing as "the best" mic - in the end it comes down to personal preference. But, I would like some input.

In my recent online search for a few new items I need (an addition to my live bass rig, and a one or two channel, relatively budget priced vocal preamp) I came across the specs for the latest POD additions. (Line6 POD X3 Pro). Apparently they've crammed both the bass models and the guitar amps into the same unit now. "Sure, whatever" I thought.

I have been asked to mix a load of hardcore/metal bands at a local live music venue however their in house guy isn't there. As such iv been banned from touching the in house sound desk. He has set up an input to the power amps so can plugin my mixing desk (its beringher 1222fX). The preamps of this desk are pants and ruin vocals.

Can any recommend a software for Cubase 4 or 5 compatability to do synthesizing effects on drum and vocal analog recorded tracks. robic sounding vocal stuff and cool drum intro stuff etc. I downloaded a demo version of Alchemy(?) but couldn't figure out how to get it to do this even though they say it can. They have a cool demo video.

Hello. Im using TS cables to connect output of fireface to monitors. To sub actually (monitors are connected from sub with XLR). Is that wise?

Also i would need cheap preamp (up to $500) for vocals only, better then one(S) i got with fireface... Any suggestions?
