Using a studio JUST for recording vocals READ ->>>&
Hi
I have a nice studio setup at home but not for recording vocals. Its not sound proofed etc etc...
Does anyone know where in London I rent a great sounding room.
I can take my portable G4 Powerbook with Logic pro 7, MOTU 828MKII, pro mic etc and do it all myself with my vocalist and guitarist ?
vocal booth!
I'm in the process of hooking up my home project studio and need to construct some type of vocal booth for next to nothing$$$
IM thinking half way in the closet / maybe a room divider I'm not sure i could really use your help.
p.s. just purchased the bluebird mic and was wondering what mic preamp to pair that with?

Recording Vocals & Guitar
Hey Folks,
just wanted to get some recommendations on recording a singer/songwriter that wants to lay down guitar and vocals live off the floor. Bleed is a given, but does anyone have any tips/tricks that have yielded good results in the past?

vocal effects processor
I am new to recording and am interested mostly in recording piano an vocal/choral music. Both my wife and I are classical trained singers. I also have a lot of choral music that I have composed and would like to quickly record without having to put together a choir.

Female Vocal Mic, Pt 2
I'm sure everyone's busy this time of year, but it's been rather dull lately reading the same two or three threads with little news to add... So, here's yet another topic about female vocal mic choices.

good vocal mixing? i need a start.
ive been listening to some albums and I'm so jealous of how they get mixed. i hear these vocals that are just soooo clear and sound like they are in the room with you. to be specific, I'm stuck on chevelles newest CD. at any rate, not long ago i started mixing and ive been playing with different effects to bring the vocals out and make them clearer.

Getting vocal to sit in the mix
I recently recorded a friend's band in my home studio. Acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums and vocals. The peformances were good, and I am pretty happy with the sound of everything. We are mixing it now, and the comment I keep getting is that the vocal does not seem to "sit" in the mix like commercial recordings.

Soundelux U 195 vs. . AT 4060 for vocals.
I am looking at both of these mics as my next purchase. I have absolutely no experience with tube mics (AT 4060). I have heard great things about both. As I have been told my voice is a bit brittle and soft, I am trying to find a mic for only doing vocals (rock).
Just seeing what people think about these 2 mics in basically the same price category.
Thanks,
Justin

Switchfoot Vocal FX
Has anyone been successful at recreating the Vx effects that were used on John Foreman's lead vocals in "Dare You to Move"? What's your best guess?
Thanks.
