Vocal plosives
When I record the Vocals my problem is that when the singer sings the p, k. or a loud "s" it sounds sometimes too hard and the "s" like "st".
I know that this is a compr. problem but what? I use the goldenmike preamp + groovetubes CL1s. Sometimes the TL Audio C1. I've heard that using 2 Compressors is a good idea. Can you give me some tips-tricks? Thank you

Vocals through dbx 160
I love the ease of use of the dbx 160, and I love its sound on lots of things like drums, bass and guitars. Can I use them lightly on vocals as well?

Motown vocals signal chain?
Anyone have an idea as to the Mic Pre Comp chain used by Motown? specifically, Temptations (DAvid Ruffin), Otis Redding.

Eventide Vocal Doubling
So I got a DSP 7000. I mostly use it for f**ked Fx and reverbs. I never have really done the "harmonisation" thing on the eventide but when I have experimented with doing harmonies and double of a vocal I never really like the sound. When the pros use the eventide for a double what are the technical setting like usually.

Vocal Doubling--Other FX?
Hey
I've recorded some vocals which sound good, but they just don't stand out in the mix, even though they're panned dead centre, and everything else is panned out.
I saw Inside Edition on ABC last night, where the host (Deborrah Norville) recorded a track with dance producer/remixer Junoir Vasquez.

Best compressors for vocals?
Here is an email question I received from a friendly reader of the RO forums. Before I give my opinion, I think it would be helpful for him to hear some other opinions as well. Anyone want to chime in here and help him out?

comping vocals...help..
I was wondering if some one could run down their method for comping vocals in PT. I've got a pretty good grasp of the "takes" and all but I have a feeling that there is a better way than I have discovered to assemble the comp. (and probably more than a few methods out there)
