acoustic humidity controled box
I just got a braend new taylor 610-ce acoustic and it is amazing. Compleetly perfect. Only thing is, I want to keep it that way.
I'm a woodworker and what could be a better project than for me to build my own "display box" so I could have controled humidity.
I would have no problem building the box. My only problem is I dont know

Triggering our Acoustic kit?
I am completely new to midi and all this. I currently run a pc with Sonar 4...soon to be logic pro on a macbook pro.
We have a tiny room with our drums. We have a lot of problems getting a good sound. I've thought about getting something like Toontracks DFH and a triggering kit. I'm not sure how that will even work.

Recording a solo acoustic act in a small venue
I just got the go-ahead to record a live show. This is a very small venue (30 is crowded) and the show is totally acoustic. The woman I'm recording has a strong, soulful voice, plays guitar, a bad-ass blues harp, and sometimes just a tambourine.
Entry Level Mic for Recording Acoustic Guitar
Hi Guys 8-)
any advice for an entry level mic to rec a really stunning (handcrafted Guild...) acoustic guitar?
I wish I could preserve most of it's flavour without selling my soul to Uncle Lou...
thanks :)
holy shnikeys how to get acoustic guitar sounding right...
Okay i have been trying to get a nice full acoustic sound and was wondering what most pro studios use to mic acoustics. I was just eating dinner and heard that green day song "time of your life" or whatever its titled. I think the acoustic on that track sounds great. Any idea what they would have used? Right now the 3 mics I have to use are:
DPA Acoustic Pressure Equalizers and Grids
I just bought a matched pair of DPA 4006-TLs with the acoustic pressure equalizers and grids (thanks to Mike at Vintage King Audio). My initial intention is to record a hand-made German 7'2" grand piano in a small live room. I just received the set and havn't started experimenting (will start this weekend).

Mastering live acoustic recordings?
would love to know people's tips for mastering live acoustic recordings. i run acoustic gigs in london, record people's sets then mix them either on the Yamaha AW16G i record them on, or take the recordings into Cubase and Audition to have more of a play with.

Acoustic Guitar Recording on a miniscule budget
I'll start by saying I have no prior recording experience of any instrument. I've read up on recording an acoustic guitar and have come across a variety of different views. I'm not fussy about sound quality (and I have no right to be with my budget :D); all I want is an end-product that the majority of people would have no problem listening to in terms of sound quality.
