Good acoustic guitars under £200?
I recently realised I don't have a decent acoustic guitar so it's time I got one. I don't really wanna go over £200 ($390). I don't want a very big guitar neither.

a good mic for live acoustic session
Can anyone recommend a good recording mic for live irish music session - the mic will be placed on the table and there will be about 4-5 musicians sitting around it - the idea will be to take the input of the mic into a mini-disc player - and later transfer to CD - first thing is will the quality be good enough? Second thing is, will the mic need a preamp?

noob question on acoustic guitar efx
Just wondering what kind of effects most of you use to create different sounds? New to all this and just trying to get some ideas. I listen a lot to will ackerman, and i love his recordings.

Your acoustic recording setup
I am looking to get a decent placement for recording plain acoustic guitar. I am running digital tape recorders (Tascam), which I mix through a Yamaha board. Up til now, everything I have worked on sounded at the very least, decent, with minimal noise. I've mostly been recording electric jazz guitar, electric bass, vocals, and some percussion.

Decent PA setup for sax, vocals, acoustic guitar, and music
Well, I'm sick of waiting for a band to come together, so I think I'm going to rely on some tracks in the meantime. What I was thinking about is getting the 1u rack mixer Rolls RM65, an effects processor probably a Lexicon MX200 or maybe a Digitech GNX4, and possibly a JBL EON G2 15".

Prospective beginner to acoustic recording.
I'm planning to venture into the world of sound engineering on a purely amateur basis and I'd like to have a starting point.
I play classical violin and a bit of electric blues guitar but I can predict that most of my recordings will be acoustic.

In your face Acoustic needes to be softened.
I have an "in your face" finger picked acoustic guitar track that I need to soften. Any tips or advise as to how to do this? The guitar cant be retracked. I need to try and make it work.
I have Waves Diamond and UAD card with all mixing plugs activated.
I have fooled with comp and eq..
Thanks for helping a newbie.

Solid mic for mic-ing acoustic + electric guitar?
Hey all, noob here.
acoustic blues, recording help w/ equilizing
Hey guys, I have a question about direct injection boxes for guitar. Will this reduce the hum/fuzz in recording guitar? I bought my gate to reduce the hum, but it is not effective after going through the amp. And the amp produces the most hum. will a DI box replace an amplifier?
heres an example...:
