A matched pair for drum OH, upright piano & acoustic gui
Hiya all,
Been reading a lot on this forum but your sage advice would be appreciated on helping me choose a MP of condensers that I can use for 3 purposes - drum OHs in my dead room, my 1928 Grotrian Steinweg Upright Piano in my laminate-wood floored large living room, and acoustic guitar in my dead room.
Some that I have in mind...

Please, help me sit my acoustic bass in the mix!
Hello to all you acoustic gurus, I'm having a hard time finding a good, solid place for the acoustic bass in my mix. When I listen to the track alone, it sounds relatively healthy, but once it's in the mix, some parts pop out and some just get burried! :(
Would cutting low and add some mid-high help?
internal acoustic guitar mic? What should i get?
I dont know if this is the irgh forum, but i figured i would ask.
I have an alvarez with the 600t electronics, which allows for the addition of an internal microphone. The input for the mic is a basic mini jack on the ybderside of the electronics. The unit does not provide phantom power, so it would have to be a Dynamic, or condensor with its own inline power...

Hall/Room Acoustic Characteristics
Hi All,
I'm quite puzzled with how to judge the studio/hall acoustics, and choose the best placement for different instruments in the same space (studio/hall).
One particular problem that I can't put my finger on is when recording in a concert hall, how do I decide whether the mics are too high or too low?
Thank you in advance for all your suggestions!
