I've owned this pre for some time now and have used it on certain occasions. I assume it has a bit of competition now-a-days. I don't hear any noticable difference between it and my TC Helicon Voice Prism I may use once in while for vocal effects. I've posted a topic or two about preamps and found out that you can't skip or compromise in this area.

Anyone tried one of these yet? How does it compare with the RNP? Significantly better than the pres in a Ghost?

A friend told me about an 80's Aphex exciter-kind-of-thing that I'd like to have. He just didn't remember which model it was.

Would like to know experiences with the Aphex Compellor 320A. I like what I read about the colorless compression.

I am not looking for Excitors. Just a very great clean multi band compressor.

I would like to have four units if they are good.

I see that the 104 exciter is being discontinued. It's so cheap. Is there a better Aphex exciter still around? Do people still use it? No one seems to much like the PT plugin , but can this £125 box be better?
Any other exciter recommendations?
