Which high(er) end microphone, or do I need one for my low end system?
This is my first post, so hope I got it in the right place.
I have a simple home studio setup and a VERY cheap microphone. I'm willing to spend up to US$ 4000 for a new mic that suits my voice, but maybe it's pointless with my sound card? I use an Apollo Twin DUO sound card and only plugin preamps . I use Logic Pro X.
Ribbon vs. Condenser, which mic is best for singer
Ribbon vs Condenser, Please help choose which mic is best for singer
Here are two versions of the same song, written and performed by a client of mine.

separate phantom power supply
Hi. I'm new to recording and had a few basic questions. At least... I imagine they're basic.
1. I have a mic that requires phantom power - does anyone have any suggestions on a simple, good "clean" phantom power unit? Are there some features I should look for aside from just power?

home performance vs. studio sound?
Hey guys. I'm relatively new to home recording. I'm recording all my instruments either through midi or direct line-in. The only thing I'm tracking live at home is vocals. I bought an SM7b and I am using the Roland UA-55 Quad-Capture and the Cloudlifter to give the sm7 the gain it needs. Here's my question:

Headphones OR Monitors?
Only have $200 to spend. This is all I have to work with so please just list ones you would think are the closest to natural sound.
Either I buy ATH M-50 headphones. They are $120 and said to be flat, natural sounding.
