I've done a lot of serches on this but i still don't get it.
I have a zed r16 with 16 chanels of ADAT in/out and a Tascam CD-RW2000 CD recorder with digital in.
Tha connectors are the same(toslink cable).
Im trying to send 2 master tracks from the zed to the Tascam to record a mix digitally but no luck getting a signal on the Tascam so far.

My sound card is an RME 9652 which has ADAT outs.

For years I've used a Frontier Designs Tango 24 for the D/A portion (to get to the studio control mixer) but the Tango24 now seems to be flaking out.

Looking for ADAT 9 pin Male to Male
I need these cables to hook up my HD24 with my BRC
I cant find them anywhere

I have an RME Fireface 800 and I bought a Focusrite Octopre to extend the pres I have.

There are 8 balanced line ins on the back of the Fireface and 8 outs on the Octopre... so I could just use jacks for the number of pres i need.

I am about to purchase a 003 and I have a 002. I have in the past hooked up 2 002s via ADAT Lightpipe. If any one can help I would love the answer. I cant even find an answer on the Digidesign forums!

A form of data transfer developed by Alesis for use in their ADAT machines. Using light as the carrier signal, ADAT optical is similar to TosLink two channel formula and uses a similar connector, but is optimized to include up to eight discrete channels of digital audio. Used today as one of several digital transmission protocols for linking digital audio devices.

been a long time! I'm currently working a gig as a second sound engineer on a cruise ship. With this setup in the theatre we use an Alesis ADAT HD24 to run production shows, as well as to record 'sick' tracks for singers, or if an act wants we can route from the (dated) Yamaha DM2000 console to the HD24.
