Hi,
i'm using an Akai DR8 for producing ads for radio and have noticed a "shrinking" of the stereo image, when recording a track onto the unit for editing purposes.
Is this a result of the A/D converters?

Just wondering if people familiar with these machines (or spec's in the Akai case) think it is worth the wait (December/January last I heard) for the Akai, which will also list for about $1,000 more than the Roland. Thanks. Bosbuff

I'm trying to swap samples between an Akai s3000 and a Mac G4 via scsi/Recycle/VST. My akai samples are stored on Jaz disks and the Mac attempts to format them whenever I'm connected.

Is there a way to stop the Mac reading the Jaz (without affecting my interenal G4 Zip drive)?

Or, is there a better way to integrate akai and mac for sample exchanges?
