I had posted a couple days ago re large diaphram condensers and i was in Buffalo and i drove past a Guitar Center and they had a used Blue Firefly deluxe limited edition mic on sale and the sales guy was awesome and dropped the price a $100 to 689 and this things in mint condition. From what i understand this is the u67 capsule inside.

Anyways a long story short

Anyone here ever tried out the Red mic made by BLUE? I love the idea of interchangable capsules and have trusted BLUE for quality mics (tey're a part of my closet!). I was just hoping to get some feedback from someone who's actually tried it out. I'm thinking about buying one and I'd like to hear some first-hand reviews. Thanks in advance for all of your time.

has anyone used this mic, I'm looking for something to use on vocals, guitar (electric and acoustic), and maybe some sax. It is a little more then I want to spend but is it worth it?

If so, is the input signal loud like a mic/ pre-amp combo or more like a mic without a pre-amp?

I've made some major changes to my gear in the last few months in an effort to try something different. This leads me to the following question:

Anyone used one of these? I can't find much info on it.

It is a mic blue has started making that allows the use of its own capsules as well as many vintage lollipop capsules.

Seems like this would be a pretty cool mic. But i am not brave enough to try it without opnions.
