Hey guys, just posting on this forum as I've been having a bit of trouble recording with the Blue Yeti mic that I just got a week ago from amazon.

I do gameplay commentaries and I wanted to step up my game by buying this mice as I only had the Turtlebeach PX21's for recording my voice.

Hi guys. I'm new here and i'm looking for a good beginner mic. I am a music producer, sort of. I have a bunch of wannabe rappers at my school who want me to record them rapping and make a beat for them. I said why not, makes me money.

I'm new to this forum so my apologies if I am posting in the wrong forum or the like.

I recently upgraded from a headset to a Blue Yeti mic for recording podcasts. I picked up a boom stand, pop guard, and shock mount, but saw that the Yeti did not have a base compatible with the shock mount.

I'm currently trying to do some vocal recording with my new microphone (blue yeti - best mic I could afford etc etc).

My problem is I have a rather large voice (professional classical singer) and I'm not sure how to set hardware/software up so I don't peak as much while I try and record assorted pieces.

I'm using Adobe Audition with the Blue Yeti.
