Can any one suggest a good internal IDE CD burner?

i have two external (firewire) plextor CD burners.i use toast jam for burning master audio CDs at 2x speed. how can i test which speed is best for master CDs. i dont have any audio analyzer or similar toll. tnx in advance,

Anybody know why Wavelab will not see my HP-Writer? It will not see it from either Basic Audio CD or Montage for burning purposes. It does recognize it for import purposes. It is listed under help/System info so it does recognize it's there but when I try to 'Write CD' from anywhere it will not list the burner. What's up? Anyone? J

hey there people. Okay here is the problem that I am running into. Ever since I installed my second sound card (an M-audio "audiophile") I cannot get my CD-burner to burn anything. When I go to burn a CD everyhting works at first. It reads the CD. Starts to read the information that I want to burn to the CD. Then as soon as it starts to burn it instintaniously gives me a buffer underrun error.

This week i have to buy a new CD-RW burner .
So it's urgent .
Can i trust firewire on my B/W G3 350?
A friend brought his rubber LaCie PocketDrive firewire HD & that worked flawlessly .
Anyone uses firewire, or should i buy a new scsi burner ?

Hi,
I want to put together a pc to use as a daw and I was reading the specs on some CD burners. None of them seemed to support 1x! Most didn't even support 2x either. Have I missunderstood or is there only some units that can still do this?

I have the 412 PLEXTOR and it's make CDRs at 4X burn speed that skip. I use CRWin by Jeff Arnold, and it's on a 700 MHz Pentium with 128 meg of memory. I'm not sure of the settings it's supposed to have but I can look at anything (if I knew what to look for). Any clues?
