I was wondering if anyone has heard the demo CD for this mic.

I don't know what they were thinking with the shoot-outs between different mics.

The vocal shoot-out convinced me I wanted a U87.

The guitar section shows how wonderful the Sennhieser MKH series is.

Please tell me what recording n mixing path you use for vocals & guitar of your wonderful sounding song. Like what mic preamp, mic, compressor & effect processor.

Hi all...I sent out my demo about 10 months ago to 10-12 different labels. 2 responded and said that they "really liked it" and had been playing it around the office. But that was it. No offers. What do I do next?

p.s. these are not mainstream music labels...but nonetheless very respected and popular in the underground scene.

I compared DP 3.11 to DP 2.72 and heard some suprising differences in warmth and detail. 2.72 was better. 3.11 was brighter, dryer, and lacked low-level detail.

I really want to demo another application to further my research. I have ther 2408MKII, so I suppose the application would need to be compatible with that as well as OS9.

Any suggestions?

I am attempting to run through the demo song with the si24 studio package pro.

I can play it by hitting the trasport controls on the screen, but not when I hit play on the mixing console itself.

HELP, tried everything suggested and even a few things that weren't

I'm a songwriter and musician looking to simplify my current setup--I need to make radio/demo-quality recordings: vocal, guitar certainly; but it would be nice to have the room to add more. Want it portable. Really I want the ease and simplicity of pushing the rec/play buttons on a handheld cassette recorder at my kitchen table.

I attended a demo for 5.1 surround SACD at Sony music studios this past Thursday evening.

I know it sounds bazzare but Im trying to Mic 5.1 to a camcorder for a 5.1 demo.

So my 5.1 is happening in the room. Now I place 2 omni KMs on a stereo bar in an attempt to get a simulated 5.1 response.

Would 1 omni be better?
