digital...

Generally I wouldn't go with a modeling guitar. I'm very old-school when it comes to guitar equipment. I'd say go with the Schecter. I've got a Diamond Series guitar, S style, though. It's incredibly reliable, really easy to take care of. The problem with the Line 6 guitar is that they're obsolete within a few months. Besides which, the tone's never going to be as good as the real thing.

Digital garabage creeping into tracks - solution?

Hi, I have a not-so-accasional digital click creeping into my audio tracks. Doesn't matter whether its tracking with mics or going out and in through outboard gear. The click appears to flatline the wave for a few mil. Currently I'm using a MAC g4 with DP 4.6 with a MOTU 828. So far I've just been editing them out, but its a massive pain annd the results are not always great.

Digital Sync

I'm using a MOTU 896 to record some musc and I'm also using a Blackface ADAT (with a dead transpot) as an A/D converter to add 8 extra channels via the Motu's lightpipe. Do I need some sort of external sync to phase lock the two devices or should I be able to lock the ADAT to the MOTU with the ADAT in.

analog or digital?

ive been talking to my teacher at tafe and was checking out some other people opinions on the matter. I'm thinking of getting a desk to get me going and were wonder what you think is better for getting me going. an anolog or a digital desk. my teacher said a 2 inch 24 track would be a good starter because anolog has a much fatter sound. what do you guys think.
