Digital Mixer selection for use with an Alesis HD24
Hello, I currently run an Alesis HD24 using an A&H GL2400 Mixer and am looking to go to a digital mixer. I have been looking at the Yamaha O1V96 ver 2, and the Tascam DM3200. I really like the features of the Tascam and its ability to add a meter bridge. I am trying to figure out how well the HD24 will pair up with the DM3200. Anyone here running this combination?
Digital popping noises
Hello,
I am using the digital out on a Behringer Ultragain Pro-8 going into the digital in of a Digidesign digi 002. I am getting a lot of popping noises. Anyone have this problem? I have the Pro-8 set to master 48K sample rate and the digi 002 set at 48K sample rate. It's driving me nuts. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Rokko

HELP! Tracks hidden in Digital Performer
We are in the studio recording using Digital Performer. We hit something that hid all of the tracks in the editing window. The sound is still there at playback but the waveforms are gone, so we can't edit. Any ideas?

Digital Format Questions
Thanks again for all your help in picking out a $1k mic. I ended up doing a shootout between a Blueberry and a TLM 103, but the Blueberry won out for my purposes.

2" -> Digital - can you do it?
I was contacted by a potential client today. She is working to re-release some old material on CD - possibly some special edition recordings. The talk today was about working from good vinyls, but she also has some 2" tapes that she might have some material of value on them.

Why'm I getting Digital Dist. when I burn a CD?
My mix is loud, yes, but its barely hitting zero and not cliping in my meters. When I Listen to the file on my computer it's perfect, but when I burn a CD, the CD clips.
What am I doing wrong?
If I drop the master volume 2 db its fine, but my meters are telling me I shouldnt have to do that.
who uses digital boards here?
Hi,
Let us see how many members use a digital board for recording/mixing tasks.
I divided brands in numbers so you may specify models also.
(1) Behringer gear
(2) Yamaha
(3) Tascam
(4) Roland
(5)SSl
(6)Neve
(7)Other

Digitally triggering drum samples
Hi guys,
I have a multitrack drum recording setup, but I am not getting a snare drum sound that I quite like. Since I am on a budget (who isn't), I was wondering if there was a plugin that could trigger a sample whenever my drummer hits on the snare track. It would be some sort of autosampler based on a dB threshold.
Thanks!

Reducing noisefloor before going digital (technical)
Hi I have a dynamic omni mic and a preamp. The mic is rated 500 ohm impedance and the preamp input is 10k ohm. I read on a website it is ideal for a mic/pre to have a ratio of 1/10 impedances but my setup is 1/20. Im just trying to figure out ways to lower the noise floor before recording as my current noise floor is workable (-51dB) but still a pain when tracking and compressing.
