I have DFHS and i just cant get the same sounds ive heard from different users but usually when i ask people who infact have th eprogram, they dont feel like helping. haha. So this goes to anyone that wants to help. Basically Im using Pro Tools LE with a digi002 and i cant get a good full sound out of it.

Hi, i'm thinking of buying a Yamaha Rydeen drumset, for recording purpouses but I wanted to see if it's a good deal to buy one or wait like 3 months or so and buy a Yamaha Stage Custom instead, what do you think?

By any chance, do you guys know any good plugins for pro tools I can use to tune drums...ever program I have pitches them correctly but completely ruins the origonal rhythem. any ideas?

Do modern rock recordings, like say from bands like Modest Mouse, The Strokes, or Korn (or anything in that range to harder and softer), generally apply gating to bass drums, snares, and toms?

I'm looking for a good gate for application on snare, tom, and bass drum tracks. I currently have the Sonitus (bundled with Sonar) but it's kind of half-assed and would really like something higher end.

Suggestions?

What's the best way to tune rock drums, is a specific tone pattern between toms necessary?, what tone should the tom's top and the bottom heads have?

I just purchased the digi002 mixer and pro tools LE 6.9.My band went into the studio and the engineer was using a quantizer to line up the drums.I have a quantizer on pro tools but cant figure out how to get it to work with the drum tracks...If anybody would take the time to thouroghly run me through the steps on how to do it or any advice for that matter I would greatly appreciate it.
