eq settings for vocals

i'm using a Yamaha EMX66M 600 watt powered mixer w/12 in Peaveys...4pc live (i'm not recording) rock band w/vocals only going through the mixer/pa. any rule of thumb as to eq settings on the graphic equalizer? (i.e. add some freq "X"/or cut on freq "y"). and what are the sweet frequencies to boost for fullness and the "in frontness" that vocals need?

Need help with EQ routing w/ DAW

I just purchased a Ashly pqx 571 and I am running a delta 1010 a/d converter. I currently have the output of channel 8 running into the ashly and out ashly into the input on channel 6 of delta so that I can moniter and try to eq the track. I have the delta patchbay set up with 8 out and 6 in. I am getting sound but the problem is that it is a very low level.

EQ a digital piano

Hi,

anybody got some good tips on eq for a diguital piano in a live and in a recording situation? The pisno is actually coming from a sampler and is quite a nice sound. I've been told to roll off below about 120 hz and add a little boost around 10khz. However I'm not sure if this is a general setting and I'm not sure of the levels of gain and attenuation as well as the q shape.
