EQ Bass Fundamental. or harmonic freq. ?
Is it a good idea to boost fundamental (lowest) frequencie of the bass. So you can hear it more clearly. Or it is better to boost harmonic (higher related) frequencies. Or maybe cutting of some frequencies between harmonic ones? That is the question that bothers me most.

A simple EQ question.
I hope it's okay to post a mixing question here. I have been around RO a while so I'm not trolling.
So I'm mixing(my own stuff).
The beginning of the song is just voice and a guitar, I leave in a fair bit of low end, so it's not all thin and pasty. I want to hear the fullness of both as they stand on their own.

Live Vocal EQ and Audibility.
Hey everyone!
I'm not sure if audibility is a word...but it is sort of what I'm looking for. We've just purchased two new Sennheiser 135G2 wireless handhelds for our praise and worship team. In addition, the rest of the team are using a sort of SM58 type microphone.

PEQ for Royer SF12
Dear Friends,
I've recently purchased a Royer SF12 for choral recording and am now interested in getting a good quality PEQ plugin for tweaking of said SF12 output. Not being flush with cash, I'd like to hear about 'best bang for buck' options, while attempting to remain relatively high-end quality wise, if that is at all possible.

Radio EQ and Compression Standards for Mastering Purposes
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as far as the standards used in mastering for radio as far as eq and compression goes? I ask because I have some crappy songs lying around that I would like to experiment mastering techiniques on. Any and all responses woud be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Pre-Distortion EQ and Noise
Hello there.
I've just joined the forum because I am at my wit's end.
I have recently purchased a Rane Parametric EQ (PEQ55) for use in my live rig.
I am a guitarist, so here's the rig (pretty simple).
Guitar (EMG actives) --> Morely Tripler, with boost (for raising signal level) --> Rane PEQ --> Mesa Mark II.

Using an RTA to EQ a venue
How many of you sound engineers out there in the live sound arena use third-octave RTA (real-time analysis) for EQing a venue? This is something I do quite a lot, but I have seen very little discussion of it in these forums.

EQ EQ EQ! HELP PLEASE!
So, I am learning how to use EQ...and I can't seem to get it right. Here is what I think I am supposed to do:
I first EQ each instrument in my mix.
I then EQ the vocals.
After I mix them...I EQ again to give each part it's "pocket" in the mix.
