SOUND FORGE Audio Studio 12 – Your feedback is welcome!

Hello everybody,

We would like to take the opportunity and initiate our first round of feedback here in the community. We want to tailor this discussion around our new SOUND FORGE Audio Studio 12. Please feel free to tell us what you like and dislike, and your ideas and wishes for future features!

Honest feedback

I have a hard time finding honest knowledgeable feedback to better some songs, thought I would see what you guys think. I recorded this in my basement all on a RODE NT1 using an acoustic guitar and a Roland Octa-Capture. Mixed it on the new garageband, the drums are done using there new auto drummer feature, worked pretty well I thought.

Serious Humming/Feedback

I recently purchased a brand new Numark Mixdeck Express midi controller. I connected it the other night at a gig to my QSC K12 speakers using XLR cables. On the rear of the controller are 3 XLR outputs that say BALANCED. I connected regular XLR cables (microphone cable) and ran it to the left and right speakers separately. I then tried to power up the speakers and they would not turn on.

Mixing Critique

hi.. fairly new to mixing and mastering. Check out my mix and let me know what I can improve on. FYI, artist brought a YouTube beat to the session and didn't have wav files so it was a little hard for me to get all vox takes to sit in the mix so I fear it'll be either to loud or to soft compared to the beat. regardless let me know! Feedback is essential in my opinion. Thanks

Feedback/Help On My Mix

I recently moved into a new control room and decided to re-mix a some of the songs that I wrote a few years ago. I am wondering how this new room I'm in is translating. Me and 3 other great friends doing a song I entitled as "Moon Over Crystal"

Please let me know of any comments you have on the mix and whether my new room is feeding back the right info to me.

Would love some feedback on a mix i'm working on!

Hey everyone! So i recently attended Grammy Camp, a program where I was fully immersed in audio engineering at USC. It was an invaluable experience and I learned a ton. The audio engineer students were sent home with tracked sessions of some of the songs written and recorded during the camp for mixing at home. This is my first pass on one of the songs.
