Noob to forum: Advice on Mastering hip hop For vinyl
Greetings,
I've done my research and i've sat in on other mastering engineers as they've mastered for CD, then applied different settings for wax.
What i need to know is, how much (db) limiting can i use on the mix before it will prove troublesome for the cutting process?
Being hip hop , all the spikes are kicks and snares.
Cubase Automation and Forum Groups
I am not a Cubase user yet, still doing some research.
I am coming from a PT LE environment and I am wondering about the automation capabilites of Cubase. I would imagine that they are at least comprable to PT but I would like to hear some feedback.
I am also particularly interested in Plugin automation which is quite easy to execute in PT.

Jp22. .the george dubya of recording forums
Thank you recording.org for keeping the rantings of Jp22's delusional mind for eternity in a sticky...genius!
Maybe he could write a regular column for you on the use of dynamic compression therapy in category A mental institutions?
Only a thought...

new 2 forum, hopin to get feedback on my recording question
well i was thinking of persuing a dream, and getting myself into music.
I want to record lines and get the best quality possible, but i dont want to go to my local studio and pay their hourly rate of 100 dollars.
Is there a forum for new products at Recording.Org ?
Just curious. I'd like to post something, but not sure if it's allowed on RO.

forum dedicated to mics
I want to start a petition to start a separate section in this forum dedicated to mics. For all those out there that don't even know the difference between a condenser and a dynamic microphone. Lots of beginners come to this forum,, and if they truly want to learn the ropes, they're going to need to learn about mics sooner or later.

Noob to both forum & recording...
Hey folks
I tried to use the search feature but that wouldn't load for me, so my sincere apologies if this is a dumb / ignorant / repetitive / complete noob question.
I recently picked up a M Audio Ozone. This is a pretty cool deck, does more or less what I need to do with it. Using my acoustic guitar & mic I can capture songs (using Live software for the time being).
