Great River .. good choice?
I'm looking to buy a Great River ME-1NV, for use with mostly hip hop vocals, and some female singing. Do you think this is a wise buy? and what mic would you recommend for up to a 1000 USD?
p.s. I have an M-Audio Omni studio interface / Delta 66 sound card.

Speck MP 5 or Great River ME-1NV
I've looking to get my good mic preamp for rock type stuff. I read some stuff about the Speck and listen to the clips here and really liked what i saw. At the same time, both hear and at GS, it seems like the Great River NV pres are really nice and versatile (though more colored than the Speck I would imagine).

Great River 2NV
I've heard so many great things about the Great River 2NV and for a while was planning on purchasing one. I'm still considering, but could anyone tell me if they've used it with sucess on acoustic guitars and how it sounds? What mic(s) did you use? SD, LD? Were they on the bright side to compliment the 2NV's darker sound?

Sebatron vmp-2000 or Great River 2NV? and mics
I'm searching for a high quality first mic preamp. I've gone back and forth after reading tons of articles/reviews on various pres and getting recommendations from other similar sites. I had things narrowed down to the 2NV, but out of nowhere, Sebtron popped into my life. It seems people love the thing. Any thoughts on better value?
Equalizer from Great River
For anyone (like me) that's been shopping for an EQ, this may be the ticket. I fiddled with it at A.E.S. and will wait until it arrives in the next few months.

Hey Team, I'm a home recordist with a Pc based setup (Acid, Soundforge, Echo Mia) My front end consists of a Joemeek Mq3 and a Studio Projects C3/Marshall 603s. I want a warm sound! And. .I don't want to have to use much EQ to achieve it, Anyone use a Great River ME1NV? I spoke to the guy who designed it today (Dan) and he was very cool and patient.

Pres: Voicemaster vs. . UA vs. . Great Rivers
What is the opinion of the pre in the Voicemaster Pro? I know this is a channel strip w/ other processing, but I'm interested in pros and cons of the pre section. Does it even touch what the Great Rivers and Universal Audio pres can do? I don't mind spending $1K for a single channel of pre, but if I can get close to that quality for half of that (and get comp.
Vintech 1272 or Great River NV?
Hi all:
Has anyone had experience using or comparing the sound of the abovementioned mic preamps? Which one has more "Neve-ness"?
My use would be mainly drums and electric guitars.
Thanks
