Hi, I installed a 200gb Seagate baracuda ultra ATA hard drive as a slave. It works and everything but when I look in the "My Computer" file. It says the hard drive is only 127gb. Have I got sold the wrong hard drive, or is their something else I was supposed to do?

I reed somewhere, that to have the best performance on Nuendo or any other DAW's is important to have at least three HD setup:
1 to run the OS and DAW programs
1 to run VST
1 to record and save projets, and store wav files

Is that true? Is that the way to go?

First off its a Dell Latitude P4 2.0ghz 512 RAM. Im going to be using a Hercules 16/12 Firewire unit.

for ages my computer has only had 2 x 10gb internal hard drives, and i recently got an external (80gb maxtor) hard drive to back up - but it made my digi 001 pro tools system crash all the time, so i only switch it on to back stuff up.

Here is some food for thought (for any Roland VS-880users).
I recently had one of my hard drives crash and burn on one of my (6) 880s---what a bummer----so I went shopping on ebay and found a 4gig h/d for what I thought was a good price,,$58.99 delivered.
