I'm toying with the idea to get into the jungle of recording my music. My impression is that the A&H ZED-R16 console would be an excellent choice for me as I'm just starting this.

Ya... I'm finally setting up my acoustic room and need to get the headphones happening in there. My main system is the Dangerous Monitor ST but i'm still waiting on VOVOX cable to enter North America so its on stand still.

What it says.

I own (2) EX-29s (broken), (1) HD-280 (bad cable), (2) MDR-7506 (one has busted ear pad), and (1) K-240s (my personal headphones).

So this discussion is for cans under $100, preferably $25-$50.

Is there a good headset for both gaming and studio? I think this one is good for gaming, but is it good for studiowork?

The monitor mix that is sent to the musician's headphones during initial tracking and over- dubs. Often, this mix will contain effects not given to the recorded signal (or to the existing tracks), in order to make the music sound more exciting in its pre-mixdown state.

I was wondering if is there any kind of special headphones to use in the mastering process. Since I do not have a special room to do it, I would like to know if is there any tool to do a home mastering.

Hey! I've had this problem for ages, but could never really find an answer (googling for "mixer headphone monitor" turns up quite a variety). So, I've come here for help :)

I use a mixer almost daily (for music mixing, internet broadcasts, home projects, etc). I also prefer to use headphones with my mixer (plugged into the phones out). Now here's the problem:

Hey i have been having some trouble with my headphones. There just a standard pair nothing pro.
My problem is that the cord for them is not long enough for when i want to record vocals so i have to position myself as close as i can to my mixing desk for it to reach. i am also recording drums soon so this will be a major problem.
