I recently built an isolated piece of furniture for my CPU. and sent it a few feet away from my control room. Silence is golden and I now enjoy it.

However, there is a hum in my Event 20/20 bas that is constant whenever they're powered. This hum was always there but never bothered me, but now with no CPU noise, it became more noticeable.

Am using a Mackie 1604 for live board and came across a noise problem last weekend. The monitor output is an unbalanced TR jack and was connected to a 100 snake via a 1/4 TRS jack. This fed a TRS input into my amp on stage for the monitors.

I bought a laptop to do some recording and the noise was terrible. All I'm using is live recording from a mic (no MIDI). I've seen the advertisement on the EBTECH hum eliminator and it says to locate the eliminator between the problem equipment. I'm only using a mic so I assume the noise is inside the laptop. Any ideas how to resolve this issue? I bought the laptop (Toshiba) for recording.

I just moved into an older two bedroom apartment to make room for my ever expanding gear :)

One thing shocked me. I have a horrible hum in my guitars! I've had this Strat through 4 different moves in two countries and never had any problems until now...and this move was only 6 blocks away!

The problem is: I'm having a lot of 50Hz in my audio signal.

My AKG C3000 microphone is picking up a lot of
noise in form of buzz/humming all of a sudden.
And when I touch the body of the microphone, the
noise volume increases. I even isolated my
microphone from my setup chain and connected it
directly to my mixer as a single source and it
didn't make any difference!

Do you use this, seen how it works? I have a regular stereo receiver running the sound on my mixer. Could I put this piece between my main outs on the mixer and the input on the receiver and get rid of that annoying his I hear when I turn the receiver volume up past 30. I haven't yet tested to see if in fact this noise is recorded onto my tracks, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was.
