Hey, how do you connect preamps to 192 I/O's. I was looking at them online and they dont seem to have (analog/digital version) XLR or 1/4" outputs. Im thinking about buying a Pro Tools HD system but I'd like to know how I would set it up first. Thanks.

I am looking to purchase a good converter. I like the Prismsound converters. However, they are double or more than the Apogee Rosetta 800 or the Lynx converters. I have been told the Rosetta is lots better than the Ensemble. I am not concerned with pre's. I am running a liquid channel for the pre's.

Just quickly wondering what your top picks for I/O Interfaces are?

I was just wondering what the differences are between the Digidesign Digi 002 Firewire Music and the M-Audio ProjectMix I/O are? They both look virtually the same. Except the Digidesign product is double in price. Why is it so much more expensive? Is it just due to the brand name?

Hello, my names Ben and I'm a newbie at recording so bare with me :P
What exactly does a product like the Digidesign 192 I/O do? You see, my friends dad has 3 for his studo and I was just curious what they exactly do.

Has anyone had a problem with their LCD Display? I just bought a PMIO and everything works great - except that nothing comes up on the display. There's just the backlight and no text.

I've contacted M-Audio - and all of the possible fixes they recommended required being able to actually use (and see) the LCD Display.

When is this supposed to ship? Has anyone tried one? If so how does it compare to the Mackie 400f?

Hi, I'm currently using a Dell Inspiron 700m with the Echo Indigo I/O, ART Tube MP preamp and a Shure SM58 to record children's speech samples for a research study. The output quality is satisfactory for the purposes of the study.
