Looking for anyone who owns a Joemeek tube comp with eq.
Is this unit classified as a class A unit? is it worth the $$,is it as good as it looks? 8-)

1) in terms of quality of osound and durability how do these rate compared to say the avalon's i have?

2) if i got an all in one say the twinQ would i get a totally different sound than using the M5 into the 747 for say a vocal or acoustic guitar using my AT4050 mic?

Which one should I buy? I like both but can only afford one of them. Any sugestions? Is one better than the other? I will be using them on everything from vocals to instruments.

I have another question: Is the Joemeek SC2.2 as good as the SC2?

Can anyone tell me their likes and dislikes about this unit concerning its use on hard rock vocal recording.

I JUST GOT A JOE MEEK VC3, AND WHENEVER I TURN ON THE PHANTOM POWER, I GET A LOT OF HUM AND HISS. IS THIS DUE TO THE CRAPPY WAL-WART POWER SUPPLY THAT CAME WITH IT? I HEARD THAT SOMEONE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME CONFLICT AND THEY PURCHASED A ROLLS PS-12 POWER SUPPLY AND IT MADE THE SIGNAL MORE QUIETER. PLEASE HELP, THANKS.

Summit Audio MPC-100A or Joemeek VC1Q. I need a good pre-amp for all recording situations and I have these two options. The Joemeek is a brand new one and the Summit Audio is used but in very good conditions.
Which one is the better option?

Currently using Mackie xdr preamps , wondering if it would be worthwhile upgrading to the joemeek vc-1q to improve the quality. Will be mainly used for vocals and occasional bass.

Time to buy a nice pre. Looking for a better front end channel into that lowly beast of workstations, a 001. My only other pres are those in my 01V. I began looking at an RNP, coupled with either two RNC's, or a dbx dual channel compressor such as a 166. But now I've decided to go a little more high end and am seriously considering this one, with the optional S/PDIF digital card.
