Langevin DVC limiter rant, bleg, confusion

I basically love my Langevin DVC, great preamp. But the limiter is the touchiest dang thing and I thought I would beg for advice.

I've never gotten to the point where I can dial in the limiter and and know that it will be just perfect. I love the sound I get if I play with it and watch it like a hawk. But dang it's hard to dial in for different mics and different vocalists.

Langevin DVC vs. . ISA 220 vs. . Millennia STT-1 for Live Vocals

I am looking for front end unit for live vocals. My plan is to either use a Focusrite ISA 220, Langevin DVC or a Millennia STT-1 running to a BSS Aduio DPR 901 II and then into an Eventide Orville for effects.

The unit will be a front end for a male vocal that can get rather high and shrill and tends to be somewhat chaotic/versatile (that is the reason for the DPR).

AMEK 9098 Eq vs. . Focusrite ISA 220 vs. . Langevin DVC

Hi guys,

I am using Soundcraft Ghost as my main preamp for recording of acoustic instruments. I want to improve my the sound quality. I need a very high-endpreamp for most of my acoustic work. For this I short list AMEK 9098 Eq, Focusrite ISA 220, Langevin DVC. Please suggest me the best one for the highest quality.

thanks and regard
