New Kickin Blues
Hi kids. Uncle Dogg simply checking in and wanted you all to know whats up at Drool'n Dogg Productions these days. Finished, in January, all the tracking of a Blues record I'm producing, with the keys going on at the 'new' studio. The Clubhouse Studio is no more. The Drool'n Dogg Ranch takes its place. Some parts better, others not. Ya get what ya get.

Snare/Kick Drum, Compression?
When compressing kick and snare, to you use the same ratio for both? Or Tweak them both separately? I do different genre's... so,hip hop, what would you do? rock? rap? classical? etc..

Really good mic for Kick drum on a budget
Ok. Sounds a daft question but I need to do an overhaul. Im after a really good sounding kick drum mic on a budget. I have had to sell a load of my gear to pay the deposit on my new house. Now I'm back on track so need to re-stock but have much less money.

Where the kick and bass sit (EQ).
Alright, I'm interested in finding out where you people put the meat of your bass and bass drum and how they sit in relation to one another. This is certainly subjective, so I'll just ask you to respond to how you typically adjust the bass and bass drum in relation to each other.
