I am basically trying to have reason play, and then I record my guitar on Sonar

I currently use Sonar 7 Producer Edition on a Windows XP Professional OS. My computer has quad-core processing and 4 gigs of ram. But since I’m using XP and not Vista, I can only use 3.25 gigs of the 4 gigs possible.

Hi friends. Quick question with an issue thats DRIVING ME NUTS. Im using a pod xt guitar processor hooked up into the inputs of the digi002 and all the sudden now when i open an audio track and enable record there is a delay from guitar to the computer. In other words, when i play the guitar, you dont hear it come through the system until a brief moment after. Its not even a second.

I recently bought Native Instruments' Guitar Rig.
Though I am not running it via their Rig Kontroller

Instead I bought myself the Light Snake™ ¼ Guitar input > USB 2.0 cable. It's a nice cable.

Now when GR loads and I go to the AUDIO AND MIDI SETTINGS I have 2 options and they are as follows:

I have an ISA 428 and am looking at getting the A/D card. Question is: will there still be zero latency monitoring when I go into a PreSonus firestudio via ADAT? Thanks.

Currently I run out of my 428 with XLR cables into the preamps.

I have a lot of pro audio experience dating about 10 years ago but my life moved in a different direction so I'm a bit lost. I want to achieve sub 10ms latency with guitar rig 3.

Will there be any latency difference if i go to a 25' midi cable vs a 10'?

Hi. Could anyone help me . I have what I think is a latency problem in my Kontact 1 sampler. When I play the notes on my trigger keyboard
they sound rythmically correct, but when I listen to them played back on Logic, the recorded notes ( in this case bass ) do not match do not match what I recorded. Some notes are late, some are early.

Which would provide lower latency:

(1) Going directly into the Mac Pro's built-in optical SPDIF inputs

OR

(2) Getting a firewire interface?
