The right laptop for RME fireface 800

Hi guys !

I'm new here...but I hope you guys can help me answer some questions.

I've been in and out of the computer recording world for 8 years now, and I have no problems with my desktop systems, since I build them myself.

Now I have to build a mobile DAW for my church...and I'm sort of lost because I don't know anything about laptops.

Hey everyone.
This thread is for those searching for laptops capable of running Pro-tools M-Powered on a Windows OS.

I would appreciate if the posts are made up of WORKING LAPTOP SETUPS or USEFUL LINKS ONLY. This thread will hopefully save users hours of time when searching. Thanks!

delta 44 and a laptop

hi,
a few years ago i bought a delta 44 for some reason or another and then later on i got a powerbook g4. Lately ive been going through old stuff and found the 44 and all of its contents. Its never been used and i really want to use it. Is there ANY way i can hook it up to my laptop using some sort of external pci slot or something?
Thanks a lot

speakers too close to my laptop for recording.

I just bought a toshiba laptop and I'm using it for recording. My question is that I currently have my monitors about 6-8 inches away from my laptop. The reason for this is simply space on my desk. I know that around a pc monitor its bad, and more than likely the hardware in my comp. But will it react differnt to lCD screens. Should I not continue with what I'm doing?

Macbook Pro laptop...too expensive?

Im looking at purchasing a laptop to run Pro Tools. My school and the rest of the world uses Macs. Im not against Macs at all but a $2300 macbook pro seems pretty hard to justify.
