just bought it and got it all hooked up. i go into device manager...all drivers installed and it looks ok. i plug my keyboard into the instrument jack, and i get nothing. i read the FAQ on Lexicon site :

I have just purchased a second hand Laxicon Lxp-1 which is my first external processor. I have a soundcard with 8 ins & 8 outs (balanced).
The Lxp-1 is unbalanced. All inputs/outputs are jack leads

What is the difference in unbalanced & balanced and are there unbalanced/balanced leads, or does this just mean stereo or mono jack leads.

I have decided to finally buy a secondhand reverb unit so that I can compare it to plugin verbs. I am just about to buy an Lxp-1 on reviews I have read + it's cheap.
Anybody know when it came out, when production finished, how much it cost and how it measures up to other Lexicon units?

I have to make the decision between a Millennia Origin STT1 or a Focusrite ISA 220 + a used Lexicon PCM 91. I am trying both of these pres out right now and I'm finding both of them to be stellar. The Millennia with the Solid State or the Tube path is tempting for flexibility.
The Focusrite sounds different but still awesome when comparing just to the Millennia Solid State path.

I have an IBM T40 laptop with 512 MB RAM and a 1.5 GHz processor and want to use it for home recording.
I read in a review that the Lexicon Omega (USB audio and MIDI interface) requires at least 7200 rpm from the harddrive. Mine only runs at 5400 rpm's.
Would it still work and how well?

Just like to ask what everyones thoughts are on the Lexicon Omega. It seems to me to be a great idea for home recording if you have a fast PC, but does it do a good job?

I'm just about to do an album on one a friend has bought & would be interested to hear what anyone has to say.
