Guitar looping stations- any artists using these in the studio?
I do not own one, but I see guitar looping stations are quite popular today. These devices allow one to create rhythm loops, which one then plays over. I am curious, are any guitar players walking into the studio with these, for use on recordings?

Effects-Loop Circuitry
A mixing console circuit that is used to add an effect to a signal or a group of signals. When the effect unit is plugged into the circuit (via effects send and effects return jacks), it literally functions as a loop, splitting the signal off from the mixer and sending it to the effect, then returning it to the mixer, where it is blended with the original signal.

any piano / organ / clavinet MIDI loop collections out on the market?

And of course there are lots of audio (AIFF/WAV) loops CDs.
But are there any any piano / organ / clavinet MIDI loop collections out on the market?

This is my first time on the forum and I need some help and understanding. :)
Amp FX loop -10dB/+4dB
I'm looking at an amp that has a push button switch for -10dB/+4dB and I can't think what this would be used for? -10dB for floor pedals or +4 for rack units?

ground loop guitar buzz with MBox
Hey everyone! I've got a problem and it seems so basic, but I can't solve it. I'm using Pro Tools to record my acoustic guitar. I have an mbox mini as a USB interface. When I plug the guitar into the MBox, I get this low ringing, electronic sounding buzz.

Studio ground loop problems- A given?
I am reconfiguring an extremely modest studio (A DAW with Cubase LE4, respectable monitoring, a few mics, and a couple of rack units like compressor, preamps etc).
I understand that it is desirable to have everything powered from one outlet to avoid ground loops, but sometimes that is impractical.

When You Guys Record Do You Loop? Or Play All The Way
I've heard different debates about this, but watching a Metallica documentary I noticed they were going part by part instead of playing the whole song through. I wasn't sure if this was due to arrangement differences or not.
I tend to play all the way through fairly live and then patch things up, if it's a simple song maybe duplicate it on Cubase to make it longer.
