I don't wanna fight with the CubaseSX MIDI device editor to configure a Radium61 controller, so can anyone link to me some preset in xml format? they do exist for brand controller as Roland or Yamaha, but I've not found any for M-Audio Radium61.

I've been offered a used Edirol DA2496 for a similar price to a new M-Audio 2496.

Am I right in thinking the Edirol would negate the need for my Seck 1282?

More importantly, sound quality-wise, how do they compare?

Hello. I've been using the SB Audigy External soundcard, and I wanted to just use my m-audio fast track as my primary soundcard. I plugged the RCA outs directly into my speaker setup and all the output sounds overdriven and fuzzy. I used to put my fast track into the Line In on my audigy and it was crystal clear.

I have a projectmix I/O (M-audio) that I am using with Cubase. The unit works well as a DAW controller, and has also been OK as a input device for mic's and line level signals.

First i'd like to say sorry for asking such stupid ameture questions. I always check the forums and other sources before bothering anyone, but i just cant afford to take any risks.

I have an M-Audio blackbox and am going to be using it for recording. My problem is that the presets on the high gain models are disgusting and the compression/Gating is hellish for anyone that wants to have sustained notes.

How do i build a new preset from scratch? i can't find anything about it in the manual.

Can't afford to go any higher on my budget and these 2 caught my eye.

Am about to step my home studio up to 24/96 and my choices are:

1) DigiDesign 002

2) Apogee Mini-Me coupled with M-Audio Firewire Audiophile & M-powered Pro Tools

Any opinions?
