Method for tracking drums in Cubase
Hey everyone, I'm hoping to gain some insight into how the pro's go about recording multiple takes of drums and compiling them into one good complete take. I'm managing to do it in Cubase SX3 but the process is somewhat complicated - more so that I think it should be. This is my current workflow:

Hello people, i just need your advice, i've been thinking about getting into a music institue here in europe (barcelona) to learn you know, everything about the sound, midi, mixing, master, producing etc. It's a 9 or 10 month course, maybe a year (but i dont think so).

Attempt at Glyn Johns Method
Does this look correct? I haven't had a chance to do anything more than lay out the mics. I'll try a recording soon.
Mics:
Kick = CAD KBM412
OH near snare = AT 4033
OH near floor tom = MXL 991
Snare = SM57

Best method for recording a band - a track at a time!
Egad.. I've done the 'one-man-band' recording thing and it's not a problem (guitar, bass, keyboard, octapad drums). But now I'm trying to do a quick recording on the cheap with 3 other band members.

Best method to connect XLR to 1/4" TSR
Hi all,
I have a Focusrite Voicemaster Pro connected to the 5th TRS channel of Digi 002R via a homemade XLR-to-TRS cable.
Is using a XLR mic cable and adding a removable XLR/TRS adpator better or using a single custom cable better?
Pardon my ignorance ; P

snakes and other cable routing methods
Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out what the best way to route a bunch of cables from the control room in our studio (under construction) to the tracking room -
We need twelve channels of xlr-xlr, for the microphones into the mixer, and we have five pairs of headphones that need to connect to our MOTU 192HD.
