Need a cheap preamp for talk-back mic

Forums

I've got a Tascam FW-1082 with the headphone output going into a Samson C-Que headphone distribution amp. I want to add a talk-back mic without sacrificing any of the board's 8 inputs.

The C-Que has an additional inject input that mixes with the stereo outs from the board. I'd like to add a preamp and mic there. I tried it with one of my other preamps and it works well.

a proposition on a very good micpreamp.

Im looking for a real god 4-8ch micpreamp, for Pipe Organ and
thousand's of people in a large church.

It's a event that will be recorded 4-5 times each year.
And i will have the best equipment i can have.

Is the Millennia Media HV-3B the best or is there any other
micpreamp who is more praiseworthy, and sounds equal.

RODE NTK mic preamp

Forums

I have been using my Mackie VLZ mixer for a few years and would like to get a preamp that is a step up from that...My price range is ~500. There are many mic preamps in this range (grace 101, Summit 2BA-221, "The Brick", RNP etc.) and some of them are tube...Since my main vocal mic is a RODE NTK should I avoid a tube pre and go with something cleaner to bring out the NTK sound?

The Robbie Mic Pre = Underrated

Forums

I just bought the Blue Robbie mic preamp. I feel like this thing gets no love because it has a hipster-robot-head design. It is nothing but massive headroom, highly detailed, and the bottom end is the best part. The lows are very real, full, and slightly compressed sounding. This thing rocks...but I'll be damned if I can find 3 reviews on Google for it.
