Has anyone had a problem with their LCD Display? I just bought a PMIO and everything works great - except that nothing comes up on the display. There's just the backlight and no text.
I've contacted M-Audio - and all of the possible fixes they recommended required being able to actually use (and see) the LCD Display.

I am willing to share the production behind this bonus track from my recent album, "Deusa De MArfim".
No autotune and similar tools were used, all vocals performed by the same person.
Just layering of several tracks, going from 6 to 18 tracks., EQing and panning trajectories.
Since I've just finished this new song for this band I'm trying to put together I got curious and decided to throw it up here and see what you guys think. :) Now, bear in mind I'm using hi-fi speakers to monitor and mix on (Sony home theater 1600w "near-fields" :lol:).

I'm in school for music production right now, and I mix in my home studio (sometimes for money) in my spare time. My mixes aren't incredible, but they are better than most of the other people I've heard my age.

just trying to decide what is better to get..the Digidesign 002 rack or the m-powered project mix i/o..they would both come out to around the same price range so i was wondering what would be better for the money...thanks
Hey Ro'ers, I need some advice and tips on ways to get the bass in my tracks to sit in the mix properly. I recently did a song (instrumental) and when I mixed it down it was sounding pretty good, however, when I went to play it in the Windows Media Player I noticed that my bass was a little out of whack and louder than the rest of the mix.

my problem is that when i record a song and make a mixdown in logic, it sounds great on my speakers, but it is way too bassy and has too little hi end when compared to mastered CD's or when played on another system.

I picked up an old Yamaha Pro Mix 01..I am trying to configure it as a control surface for Sonar 4. I am getting midi messages when I hit the scene change button but, no other midi signal when using other controls such as faders etc...
Does anyone have experience with the Pro Mix 01 as a control surface that could shed some light?
