I am currently looking at studio monitors because I am just going to start recording. I don't have a very large budget, but at the same time, I want quality sound. I listened to a pair of m-audio bx5a's and thought they sounded good for the price. I was looking into them on GC's website and found the m-audio bx5 d2's.

Should I try mix downs on eap dj speaker there 12inch woofers with horns

Was highly considering these powered monitors for my reference monitors in my home studio. I've read plenty of good reviews of how they're extremely accurate. Not to mention, a good price for the poor people. Anyone have any experience with these G5 or G6's? I'm assuming the G6's are more powerful and produce less distortion. Let me know what you think. I was thinking about picking up a set of these primarily to use as 'listening' speakers but I wanted to get some thoughts on how they would work as monitors?

I've decided to up my budget for new monitors due to how much I've learned in the last month, how many speakers I've tested in my studio, and what i need/want.
Out of all the speakers I tested out I like the Adam A7X's the best, but they were "bright", lacking low mid, and I could see them causing ear fatigue easily.

Hi I am new here, and my next purchase for my home studio is a pair of active nearfield studio monitors .
My budget is about 2500 US Dollar .
I'm a little confused, when I listened in the local store and compared Genelec 8030 with Event 2030 my music sounded totally different .

I have read a lot about acoustics and nearfield monitor speakers, but none seems to clearly explain the difference between nearfield and other professionally used monitor speakers.

'm looking for a pair of monitors for recording. I'm currently using Bose 301 Series IV bookshelf speakers to mix (they're also the speakers I use for my stereo system) . I've worked with them long enough to know what my mixes should sound like on them for it to sound proper on any stereo system. However, I would like to get a pair of actual studio monitors with a flat frequency response.
