Greetings all, my first post here. I've read lots of useful info here and now I'm after some specific info.

I plan to buy a new 939/nforce3 board (DFI, Giga, or MSI).
A couple of hours of surfing now has me paranoid.
Many problems/issues reported of all mobos.
However all the problems were from overclocking, i.e. getting the memory timings "just right".

I was thinking of getting an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard
Pentium 4 3.2GHz, Socket 478, 875P, ATX, 4GB duel-DDR400, 800MHz FSB, Hyper-threading.
I believe the board can take up to 4GB Ram.

I was thinking of getting a Kingston, (KVR400X64C3AK2/1G) 1GB kit 400MHz DDR PC3200 Dimm 3-3-3. Two 512MB sticks.

I am going to be building a new computer soon. Does anyone have any suggestions on what motherboards/chipsets do or do not work well with audio interfaces? I have a Delta 1010. I would like to be able to do live-input monitoring using ASIO (I use Vegas 4) which I cannot do very well right now, only with few plugins and a larger latency.

Suggestions for a new motherboard will be appreciated.

Running Wavelab 5 - Windows 2000 Pro. I have an "everything" machine, with separate OS and other drives on drawers, so when I'm "audio" I'm "audio" only, but I do need to use it for run-of-the-mill computerizing and a lot of photography - if that helps. Any other info needed, please ask!

I'm thinking of building an AMD 64 system and read to find a motherboard without onboard audio or video. Can anyone advise on a make/model of motherboard that I can look into?

Also, I'm using Cubase SX 2.0 and a Tascam FW-1884. should I go with Intel or AMD?
