I have a band, and I want to register the name so I own the rights. Everything is clear in terms of US Trademark registration, ASCAP.com and BMI.com, and bandname.com registrations. The name is not registered there.

But, 2 bands, aside from us, are using the name on myspace. They do not appear to be active, however. One is in California, the other in Germany.

Hello all! I plan to start my music production company but I don't have a name and I need some ideas. Also, do I need to copyright or trademark my music production name? I'll be running it from my home and hopefully build it up into a commercial building. Any advice is very apprecaited. Thank you all!

I am confused by the mastering plugins. Can any comp/limiter be used to boost levels during mastering, or does one need a dedicated mastering plug in?

I've been using a stage name for a few months only to discover that another artist is using it.

The only difference is that mine has a 'Z' behind the name...So if his is Bubba Blocker, mine is Bubba Blockerz

He's been using it long before I have...

His genre of music is totally different to mine, he lives in Pittsburgh (I live in London).. He's unsigned.

i am opening a music publication company but am having a hard time coming up with a name, Harbor city records is my record label any ideas

Not sure if this is the spot for this but here goes.

Since I am finally trying to legitimize my business (of hosting events, dj, live sound, etc) I think its probably time to come up with a good name to go by.

Lets hear some suggestions, as I am always bad about coming up with names! I'm thinking something possibly ending with Entertainment or Sound...but what do you think

Hey guys whts up. i wanna know how do you add album picture and track names in Audio CDs...like if i play an audio CD in my computer it should say track name and also gives the album cover like it does in mp3s played on Windows media player or any other player. I normally use CD Architect to burn my projects. .any suggestions...
