Hi all, my name is Chad. I just about refit a recording studio I inherited with some new gear and I could really use some advice. The studio's main use is for voice over and narration production. With that, right now the studio runs a Delta 1010, which if you're unfamiliar with, requires a PCI slot.

I have had two setups but I want better quality. My last setup was an Audio-Technica at2020 condenser mic and I had it plugged up to a nice sized mixer that was plugged into my computer through the soundcard. I was recording with cool edit pro. I want PROO QUALITY! This studio setup will be used for rap music. I really need help. Let me know where to start. Like should I get an mBox?

You all see the new PreSonus 16 0 2 mixer just announced today. I don't know the price yet but will post it as soon as I hear. Its got to be a serious deal.
A great system for quick and slick stuff. You can record and do all the same remote stuff the same as their 24.4.2 and 16.4.2. Pretty cool.

I'm turning a 12'x20' room with 8' walls and a "barn type" ceiling that goes up to 10' into a recording / jam room. It is completely drywalled at this point. The room is separate from the main house. I would like advice on:

Well the drumkit is kinda not that good, old mapex venus or something like this (beginner class) from a friend of mine with 4 year old heads :-)
The playing is not good at all, I just recently started to play drums.
And I guess the tuning sucks, too.
